主旨

Main Message

平成17年3月29日、沖縄県議会において10月25日を「空手の日」とすることが決議されました。

700年の昔に空手道は琉球（沖縄）で「ティ」として生まれた。

「万国津梁の民」といわれていた民たちは、世界中の国との交流を盛んに行い、世界の文化と富を運んで平和と繁栄を築いた。

その中で1400年から1500年頃に中国武術が渡来し、それまで独自の道を歩んでいた唐手は、中国武術の長所を積極的に取り入れていった。

それがさらに歴史的な背景もあり、現在の「空手」になった。

On March 29, 2005, it was resolved in the Okinawa Prefectural Assembly to establish “The Day for Karate” on October 25.

Karatedo was born 700 years ago in Ryukyu (Okinawa) as "Tee".

The people of Okinawa called “People Bridging Nations” had an active exchanging globally, carried the culture and wealth of the world, and built peace and prosperity.

From 1400 to around 1500, Chinese martial arts arrived and Karate, which had evolved in its own unique way until then, actively adopted the advantages of it.

In addition to historical background, it established the current "karate".

1936年10月25日に様々な経緯を経て現在の「空手道」という表記が公式に決定された。

それゆえに、この日を「特別な日」として歴史にとどめる事、空手道の歴史を知らせることとしてもこのイベントは有意義な事である。

On October 25, 1936, the current name "Karatedo" was officially decided after various circumstances.

Therefore, This event is really meaningful to keep the day as a "special day" in history and to inform the history of karate.

世界の空手人口は150か国以上で5000万人と推定され、国や宗教、人種の壁を越え、現在でも広がっている。

Nowadays, the world's karate-population is estimated to be 50 million in more than 150 countries and growing even now transcending nationals, religions and racial barriers.

空手には「空手に先手なし」という哲理と「ヌチドゥ宝」の生命尊重の思想を根本理念とする「平和の武」があり、これからの社会に貢献をさらにしていくものと確信する。

I am convinced that karate has the philosophy of “No first move in karate" and "the martial arts of peace" based on the ideology respecting life called “NuchiduTakara" ; nothing is more important than life, and they will further contribute to society in the future.

また、2016年10月24日には流派、人種を超え世界から空手家が集い、那覇市の国際通りを埋め尽くし、| 4000人が一斉演武を行い、ギネス記録を樹立した。

In addition, on October 24, 2016, Karateka regardless of schools or race gathered from all over the world, filled with Kokusai-street in Naha City, and 4000 people performed a simultaneous performance that set a Guinness record.

その後、毎年沖縄での「空手の日特別演会」では国際通りで2000人ほどの空手人が演武を行っている。

Since then, about 2000 karate people have performed in Kokusai-street every year at the "Special Concert in Karate Day" in Okinawa.

但し、沖縄と宮崎では歴史や育んできた土壌も違う為、同じことをやるのではなく、宮崎らしさを取り入れた「空手の日」を行うことで、日本はもとより世界に空手を通じて宮崎の良さをアピールするイベントに成長していければと思う！

The history and soils that have been nurtured are different between Okinawa and Miyazaki. Instead of doing the same thing, we’ll hold a "Karate Day" that incorporates the uniqueness of Miyazaki and hope it will become the one to show off the good points of Miyazaki and will be brought to Japan and the world through karate.

宮崎県の空手の日を推進することで、新型コロナウイルスの影響で疲弊している社会に、少しでも元気を与えることができればとの想い。

To spread Karatedo that is expected to expand the base of Japanese martial arts

By promoting Karate Day in Miyazaki Prefecture, we hope to invigorate the society that has been worn out due to the COVID-19.
